A resurgent the Russian player secured his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The Russian, a ex- number one, has endured a difficult period, winning just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serving in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the elite rankings and finally separating with former coach his previous coach.
Now training with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the recent weeks - culminating in a closely contested three-set win over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
It is his initial title following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt from spring of that year.
Success also indicates Medvedev has won twenty-one championships at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my children together, so to win a trophy is really nice," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I achieved when my child my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had been defeated in his last six title deciders, including in Halle in the past months.
His retrieving play style and frequent emotional displays on the tennis court had led some to question if his skill to compete at the top level was finished.
Yet the 29-year-old has made changes in the past month, attempting to approach the net and perform positively, reinforced by an improved serving game.
The champion came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the challenging Frenchman, securing four of the final five points to take the lead.
The competitors swapped breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, bidding for his first professional victory, took control to push for a third set.
Moutet saved 4 early-game break points in a close third set before the Russian broke to 15 to serve for the match.
Suitably, he earned the title with a point at the front of the court, with Moutet incapable to control a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
